NARRATOR: Due to poaching
and loss of habitat, beautiful images like these will become a thing of the
past.
NARRATOR: Roughly 80% of
the 40 wild cat species have disappeared and sixteen of them are considered
vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered.
The best hope for many
of these species is through breeding programmes such as the Wildlife Heritage
Foundation.
KEEPER sync: We operate a centre of excellence in
Kent, UK and we’re not open to the public. Dedicated to the captive breeding
of endangered big cats within the European Endangered Species Programmes. We
are dedicated to the welfare of our animals, visitors and the team. We
want to ensure our visitors enjoy the experience but also consider the danger
to big cats in the wild.

We do this this and this to ensure that the cats

KEEPER: We love our jobs. We’re here to look
after these beautiful animals and we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the
help we get from public donations.
NARRATOR: There are many
ways you can help these beautiful
animals, such as photo workshops – which allow you to get up close and
personal with the animals, adopting a cat in the sanctuary of your choice or
making a donation. Without the hard work of the Wildlife Heritage Foundation
and without the help from people like you protecting these cats wouldn’t be
possible. To find out how else you can
help please call 01233 771915 or visit www.whf.org.uk.
