After much thought, I have decided to go with the option of a commission project for the WHF (Wildlife Heritage Foundation). I had a meeting with Tanith Brown - who is in charge of advertising and promotion, got my safety form signed and talked about what she wanted to see in my film and what sort of style she wants it to be. She showed me a video from last year that was made to promote the charity and said "that is the sort of filming quality we expect" which is quite terrifying! At least I have something to work from, an idea and image in my head.
Don't be bowled over by what you saw, rather take on board what they were happy with and what needs improvement and carefully structure your piece and plan with a shooting script. You can do this if you take your time planning and preparing - especially when setting up to shoot each day. Know in advance everything you can and leave as little as possible to chance.
