On saturday, myself, Lizzie, Tory and Nikki went to film the main VT at Judy's Vintage Fair for our Studio Production - Urban Review. We got a train and tubes to Liverpool Street, and met our presenter - which was a girl studying fashion promotion called Jessica Jenner. She was very good infront of the camera and worked well with all of the crew. We went to Spitalfeilds Market, which was hard to find at first, and began filming straight away. We began with the opening link for the VT which was Jessica standing near enough in the middle of the fair, trying to capture the atmosphere. We then scouted the market for potential trader interviewees and found some that were willing and interesting. We found that because the stalls were so close together that we couldn't really manage to use a tripod, but the handheld look is used throughout the VT continously so it works. We also managed to get one of our crew to have their hair and make-up done for the VT as a sequence. We got the presenter to talk to the hair and make up artist whilst she was doing Tory's hair about how to get the look and what inspired her to do it. We managed to get a few cut-aways, but had trouble with some because the majority of traders didn't want their merchandise photographed or filmed, so we worked with what we had. Overall - I feel that the presenter was very good at what she does and the footage we shot was good. I am very happy with the result and cannot wait to start editing!
