As well as sorting out our budget to pay for our casts travel expenses, we also decided to get them a few drinks and snacks so that they wouldn't run out of energy and get hungry or thirsty whilst filming.
The day before we went to Tesco to bulk buy some water, crisps, biscuits and sweets.
Before starting the production Zarah also emailed a few companies asking if they could help us feed our cast and crew but they either said they had already reached their budgets on charity work or didn't reply.
There was only one company which was willing to help and that was ProperCorn. Unfortunately they emailed Zarah quite late into the process but we still received a lovely box full of packets of popcorn.

Major Production: Shot List
Today I started my shot list as Zarah decided that the script will not change much prior to the shoot next week. I have been watching other similar films such as Kidulthood and Top Boy and have taken inspiration from them. Below is the shot list for scene 4 of Blood.
Major Production: Final Casting
Yesterday I casted our final actors. It was no surprise that the Actors and Actresses we casted was the people that made the effort to come and audition for us. I contacted them via their personal email and let them know they had got the part.
One of our main actors cast for the part of Leo lives in South Wales so I arranged for him to stay in a B & B in Maidstone which Zarah and myself will contribute towards in order to make sure he turns up for the shoot.
The person I cast as George is quite a good-looking dark and handsome young adult which we saw playing him, whereas Leo is quite a tall and bulky young adult completely in contrast with George.

Major Project: Cinematography Styles
Today I have been researching different cinematography styles and my favourite editing and cinematography style I found was from the second half of season 5 of Breaking Bad. I found a video on youtube that focus' solely on the cinematography and camera work.

Major Production: End of Auditions
Today marks the day of our last auditions for our short film Blood. In all this week we auditioned 3 guys and 1 girl. We have also received 2 video auditions from girls.
Once we have cast our final actors and actresses, we have asked them for a read through of the final script so that the cast and the crew are familiar with each other and just to get a feel of the script.
Today we had a promising audition from someone named Oliver who myself and Zarah could really see playing George.
He was well spoken and polite - how we imagine George to be.
The shoot is in two weeks - I am just waiting on the final script from Zarah then I can start the shot list.

Major Production: Recce Shoot
Last week myself and Zarah drove around Kent to find suitable locations to film our short in. We found some promising places and took some photos of those places.
